      When I grow up!

We have reached the end of our first half term in Reception!  A big well done to all of our lovely Reception children for their enthusiasm, effort and hard work this term. We are very proud of how beautifully they have all settled into their new classes and for the wonderful start that they have all had.

This week we have been engrossed in our story, ‘When I Grow up.’ We thought about the jobs that we would like to do when we grow up and shared our ideas with our peers. We even had a special visit from Peter, Our Caretaker, who is also a magician! We had some very interesting questions to ask him.

Riley said, “Can you make anything invisible?”

Gabe said, “Where do all of the magic balls disappear to?”

Aaliyah said, “How much money do you get if you want to be a magician?”

After half term, we will be starting our new topic ‘Wonderful World.’ Each week we will focus on a different location and celebrate different cultures, foods and sights within our wonderful world.

Reminders:

  • Please send your child's reading book in every day so that they are available for us when we want to listen to them read. (We will endeavour to listen to each child read once a week.)
  • Monday 2nd November is an INSET day. The school is closed to all children.
  • Wednesday 11th November: Individual School Photos day

We would like to wish you all a safe and enjoyable half term break!

Best wishes,

Miss Becker and Miss Gomes
