Nursery Learning From Home 11 - Week Beginning 1st June
Dear Lovely Hedgehogs, Squirrels, and Badgers Families,
We hope you have enjoyed the half term holiday and have had time to relax, reflect, and rejuvenate, ready for the second half of our Summer Term and our continuing Growing topic. As we learnt a lot about growing plants in the first half of the term, we will now focus more on how people and animals grow. We have included the Summer Topic Web in our Learning Resources section. It is the same as you had at the start of the Summer Term, but you might like to have another look at it, to remind yourself of what we will cover.
We are starting with The Very Hungry Caterpillar this week, and we will be thinking about this much-loved story character, as well as learning about real caterpillars and butterflies. We will also start exploring healthy eating through this story and think about what happens when we eat too many not-so-healthy foods!!
There is much change in the world and in the UK at the moment, but we know that whether your child is going to be learning from home, in Fircroft, or both, we are committed to keeping them safe, happy and nurtured, as well as ensuring they have lots of fun while they learn.
Please do continue to share weekly photos and observations of your child on Tapestry. If you are unable to access Tapestry, please email your weekly photo and message to us at:

Wishing you all a safe, happy and healthy week,
Virginia, Susi and The Nursery Team
