Nursery Half Term Holiday - Week Beginning 25th May

Hello to our lovely Squirrels, Badgers and Hedgehogs!

Firstly, we would like to say a huge well done for completing a whole half term of Learning from Home. We are very proud of you all! We are not sending you a Learning from Home grid for next week because we would like you all to have a half term break. Make sure you have lots of time to play and relax. Parents, whether your child will be staying at home or is likely to be coming back to Nursery in the near future, please do talk to them about this. Please reassure them and yourselves that we will be keeping in touch with all of you and will work with you to ensure that all the children are able to learn and have fun safely, be that at home or in Fircroft.!

As many of our Fircroft Families celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr this weekend, we would like to wish you all Eid Mubarak and hope you find a lovely way to celebrate and stay safe during this very special time.

There are two other exciting special days detailed below which will keep you busy if you are looking for something to do with your children! Please also look out for a few little videos on Tapestry from some members of our Nursery team!

Elmer Day:

It is Elmer Day on Saturday 23rd May. What a lovely thought that this friendly rainbow-coloured elephant will be here to cheer us all up. Please do have a look at the website for fun activities. Here is the link:

Also listen to David Mckee, the author and illustrator of Elmer, reading his own wonderful story.

Outdoor Classroom Day:

Outdoor Classroom Day was Thursday 21st May, so you might like to try some of the lovely activities below:

And finally, here is a picture from a lovely book called The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse by Charlie Mackesy that made us think of you. Although we’re not sure what the immediate future holds we do know that we think you’re all great and you are all very special.

We are missing you all terribly, but excited for a time when we can all be together again.

Love, Susi, Virginia, Jean, Rafia, Sharon, Jennifer, Diana and Chithra
