Mummification in Y5
A picture says 1,000 words - if that's true this slideshow shared the excitement, disgust and surprise of our recent launch of the Pharaohs topic. We began the process of mummifying a chicken. This will take around 50 days and we hope to have a mummified chicken pharaoh just before we break up for Christmas.
Home Learning
We have again set home learning to go live at 4pm on Friday. It is due on Wednesday morning by 08:50.
Handwriting Revision:
We continue to reward children with pen licences when their cursive handwriting is consistent, attractive and accurate. This week, we have given out 3 new licences and the children have been informed in class and celebrated in the class stream in Google Classroom stream.
We also encourage children to revise their letter letter sizes, letter formation and joins in their own time and recommend they use the Year 5 & 6 statutory spelling words to help them refresh their recall of these words at the same time.
