Happy Love Your Climate Day!
Year 4 joined the rest of the school for a mini 'demonstration' today as we walked around the block with posters and placards, designed to raise awareness about climate issues. This was preceded by an assembly hosted by someone from the local Recycling Centre, where the children heard the Reduce, Re-use, Recycle message and how important that is for the future of our planet.
We have come to the end of our Mountains topic, which the children have thoroughly enjoyed. Thanks to those parents that were able to attend our Express Event and contribute to a fascinating debate on the Yeti.....fact or fiction? The jury is still out!
Swimming has now come to an end for this year. The teacher at Ernest Bevin was very complimentary about all our children, both regarding progress in the pool and their behaviour. To cap it off, we had some fine performances at the swimming gala this week, with one child bringing home a silver medal!
Wishing you a lovely half term, see you on the other side.
