We're all Marvellous!
Well, there is no denying that autumn has finally arrived - and what an entrance it has made! Please bear in mind that we encourage the children to go out in all weathers where possible, so please ensure that you child comes in with a coat every day.
We have had another action-packed week in Reception. In English, we shared the book 'Marvelous Me' by Lisa Bullard and explored all the different ways that we are marvellous too!
In maths, we have been sharing our top tips for counting objects accurately and practising number recognition. We have enjoyed learning about number through different songs - a trip to the bakers shop to buy '5 Currant Buns' proved a firm favourite.
You will have noticed that your child brought a story book home from our book corner this week. We will change these books every Monday, Wednesday and Friday until we are ready to give the children their new reading books.
Reminders:
Thank you to everyone who has sent in or emailed us a family photo - there is still time to send yours in if you haven't managed to yet. (intake20@fircroft.family)
Please complete the Tapestry consent form which went home in your child's book bag today (Friday) and return it to us as soon as possible.
Remember our Phonics Workshop is on Thursday 8th October at 4.15pm - the session will be recorded and put up on the website if you are unable to join us at that time.
We hope you have a wonderful week,
Best wishes,
Miss Gomes and Miss Becker
