Kapok Class: Love Our Climate Day!
Paper making and Protesting!
Today at school we celebrated 'Love Our Climate Day'. We were super lucky to be visited by Liz, from the Wandsworth Recycling Centre. She started off by quizzing us to see if we remembered what we learnt when we visited the centre in Decemeber. She was so impressed by our knowledge. She then taught us how to make our own recycled paper from newspaper. It was fascinating. Our very own sheets of paper have been left to dry and will be ready for us to use when we come back after half term.
Later in the morning, we also got to parade around the school to protest about the importance of looking after our environment! We had such a great time and even got waves from lots of passersby!
Have a look at our photos to see the fun we got up to!
Miss Alabi would like to thank all the parents for their support this half term. Another thank you to all those who came to our express event on Tuesday, it was brilliant!
Have a well deserved break and see you after the half term!
