Awards & Celebrations
Celebrating Achievement
At Fircroft Primary School, we thoroughly enjoy celebrating the successful progress, attainment and overall development of our children in class and in assemblies over the year.
In class, we focus on rewarding positive, learning behaviours, effort and attainment. Whilst still praising individual effort, we also promote a whole class ethos of teamwork and collective responsibility.
Celebration Assemblies
Every week we hold special Celebration Assemblies, where individual children are recognised for positive learning behaviours.
Teachers keep careful track of their weekly certificates and ensure that every child is recognised for their efforts at least once a term.
Achievement Assemblies
At the end of the autumn, spring and summer terms we invite parents to join us in a special Achievement Assembly where children are recognised for excellence across the whole curriculum.
These assemblies also provide a platform for performance so that we can celebrate both academic achievement and the wider talents of our Fircroft children.
Spirit of the Games
Alongside class certificates, we also celebrate children’s achievements in Sports with special “Spirit of the Games” awards, nominated by our specialist sports coaches in liaison with class teachers.
These awards focus the positive attitudes of:
- Determination
- Honesty
- Passion
- Respect
- Self-Belief
- Teamwork
